Comarketers is a growth marketing agency founded in 2019 to help B2B companies and (Tech/AI) startups to accelerate their growth in Europe and across the globe.

We are a diverse, distributed team across Europe with a Marketing Operations Team in South Africa. Our Growth Marketing projects as well as the number of our clients are growing and hence, our work is expanding with Product Marketing / Account & Lead Intelligence projects. Furthermore, we currently build and expand our own team in South Africa by selecting and educating a pool of entry-level marketers with our own online interactive marketing traineeship (3-6 months). Therefore, we are currently looking for a Product Marketer to support Product Marketing projects for Comarketers and its clients. Also, he/she likes to support a remote course related to Researching Customers & Competitors as an instructor to a new cohort of trainees of Comarketers in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Job summary

As a Product marketer – customer intelligence you live and breath the customer. You like to really understand what’s driving them, and share your insights on customers with the growth marketing team to direct marketing efforts. You understand B2B in particular, building ideal customer profiles, buyer personas and buyer journeys to provide real insights. As a Product marketer with Comarketers, you collaborate with Marketing Operations in South Africa. You support the development and/or update of our remote (online) traineeship for new marketing operations specialists. You give one of the courses of our traineeship on Researching Customers with three online classes and a couple of check-in moments. You update the existing course, review homework and mentor our African trainees.

Our ideal candidate likes to provide customer insights and share and pass on knowledge and experience to others. The role requires understanding of market, competitor and customer research, customer profiles and buyer personas and account and lead intelligence. You are familiar with relevant tools, such as company databases, sales intelligence platforms and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. You are able to develop additional or new instructions and tutorials on customer and competitive research are also comfortable sharing your knowledge and training entry-level marketing specialists in South Africa. You love to continuously learn and evolve yourself.

Responsibilities

  • Complete market audits and competitive audits on marketing activities of companies (traffic, SEO, PPC, social media, content, lead generation, etc.)
  • Brief remote marketing operations specialists on market and competitive research (audits)
  • Build reports for clients on the outcome of marketing audits and provide recommendations
  • Make ideal customer profiles, buyer personas and buyer journeys
  • Organize and manage the development of account lists and account scoring models
  • Organize and manage the development contact lists, including lead scoring model
  • Co-develop/update a course on researching markets, customers & competitors’ marketing activities
  • Give an online (remote) course  with 3 Zoom live classes and 6 mentor sessions and review homework 
  • Develop training guides for remote marketers to execute marketing operations tasks, such account and lead research and marketing audits

Required skills & experience

  • Experience in B2B marketing
  • Fits a startup culture: can move fast and learn quick
  • Affinity with teaching, experience writing instructions or giving training is a huge plus
  • Eager to share your knowledge and expertise with entry-level marketing specialists in Africa
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficient English in speaking and writing
  • Comfortable with collaboration and productivity tools like Slack, Trello, Toggl and Google Drive
