Would you like to fulfill interim assignments for short and longer term periods on a freelance basis for Comarketers and clients (Tech/AI startups)? Comarketers is continuously looking for marketers to support our growth marketing team in executing account based marketing campaigns to substantially grow customers and revenue for clients.

Job summary

As an Operations Marketer you will support us with all kinds of operational activities around our lead generation and account based marketing campaigns. You will compose account and contact lists, and import contacts into (email) marketing automation tools like ActiveCampaign or Hubspot. You add properties and segment contact lists for targeted email outreach. For inbound marketing campaigns, you’ll build compelling landing pages with forms and thank you pages to capture leads. You will setup email marketing campaigns, composing contact lists, workflows and copy, taking into account GDPR guidelines. You report on open rates, opt-out, bounce and conversion rates, to support the team to investigate improvements. 

Our ideal candidate has a true passion for (digital) marketing, is ambitious and eager to learn. This role requires a hands-on marketer, who is very organized with a keen eye for detail. You are comfortable using or learning to use a wide range of collaboration and digital marketing tools, including WordPress, Elementor, ActiveCampaign and Sales Navigator. You know your way around on the web, able to find relevant company accounts, eager to understand how organizations are structured to find relevant departments and contacts for marketing campaigns. Service-oriented, you love to help out in all kinds of questions from the team to contribute to an outstanding customer experience.


  • Conduct competitor analysis, visiting websites and social media accounts of competitors to complete information about their current marketing activity
  • Investigate competitor website traffic and marketing tactics, using tools like SEMRush, Ahrefs and SimilarWeb
  • Enrich ideal customer profiles and buyer personas with firmographic and psychographic information and media behaviour, using growth hacking tactics (we’ll support you with that 🙂
  • Compose account lists with companies in a specific industry or geo using databases like Crunchbase, Discoverorg or LinkedIn’s SalesNavigator
  • Build and import segmented contact lists for email marketing campaigns using email and marketing automation tools like ActiveCampaign or Hubspot
  • Build landing pages, thank you pages and forms for opt-in inbound marketing campaigns using WordPress Elementor
  • Prepare and build (email) marketing campaigns, setting up workflows, leadflows, templates, copy, segmented contact lists, scheduling the campaign for multiple channels to capture leads
  • Compose press and influencer contact lists to reach out to contacts with news releases
  • Providing overall marketing operations support for web and lead research, marketing campaigns, (virtual) events and marketing automation

Required skills & experience

  • Hands on experience with Google Docs, Google Sheets and collaboration tools like Trello and Slack
  • Strongly motivated and self-starter to be a true virtual marketing supporter
  • Knowledge of WordPress, Elementor, ActiveCampaign and Sales Navigator, or willing to learn
  • Very organized with attention to detail
  • Strong research skills, with a healthy dose of curiosity
  • Eager to learn new tools and skills to grow into an allround operations marketer
  • Good time management skills and responsive
  • Able to work independently
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
